Founded in the 1970’s, The San Juan Builders Association strives to keep the San Juan Islands among the best placed in the world to live.
Our members take a leading role in all facets of homebuilding, addressing the many concerns and issues affecting our counties ever-evolving housing industry. From groundbreaking technology to revolutionary advances in sustainability, from leading government advocacy efforts to giving back to our communities every chance we get, our goal never wavers.
Our non-profit association operated as an affiliated association of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and the Building Industry Association Washington (BIAW), to connect builders and associates for the purpose of mutual advantage and cooperation. We cooperate with all branches of the building industry including manufacturers, dealers, financial institutions, realtors, and homeowners within said jurisdictions for the purpose of mutual advantage and for the benefit of the industry as a whole. We are here for our members for the purpose of mutual benefit in the interchange of information and experience with all other locals affiliated with the national and state associations.
We represent the professional homebuilders, architects, remodelers, suppliers, manufacturers, and sales and marketing professionals in our community who believe homeownership is a right for everyone.

SJBA is a non-profit organization that was established in the mid-1970s to provide a forum within which our Members, the Building Association of Washington (BIAW) and the National Home Builders Association (NAHB) connect as a unified and powerful voice for advocacy at the local, state and national levels.
SJBA will grow our membership by demonstrating the benefits of our organization through Public Relations, Education, Web Based Promotion of SJBA Member firms, BIAW Return on Industrial Insurance (ROII) program and the ability to purchase quality, competitive health insurance through BIAW.
