Membership Types

BUILDER MEMBER

Annual Dues: $650

Open to any person, firm, or corporation licensed by the State of Washington and whose principal business is building/construction within the territorial jurisdiction of this Association.

Ex. developers, single or multi-family home builders, home remodelers, commercial or general contractors, and labor-based sub-contractors.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Annual Dues: $450

Open to any person, firm or corporation.

Ex. Associate members are suppliers, real estate, financial, and other companies that provide goods or services.

AFFILIATE MEMBER

Annual Dues: $50

Open to all employees and principals of member organizations in good standing.
*This membership holds no voting rights and does not include all BIAW and NAHB membership benefits.

Ex. Affiliate members are employees or family of current members who are looking to become more involved within the SJBA community.

The philosophy of the San Juan Building Association is that home ownership can and should be within the reach of every American family and homes should be built under the free enterprise system. To achieve these goals, members pledge to uphold the following Code of Ethics:

  • Members shall constantly seek to provided better values so that a greater share of our community may enjoy the benefits of home ownership.
  • Members shall strive to develop the efficiency of the building industry to the end that labor may receive its just and proper reward
  • Members shall contribute their knowledge in building to the best interest of those they servve
  • Members shall not knowingly enter any contract, the terms of which are designed to imperil the rights of either labor or the suppliers of materials to receive a fair return for services or goods funished.
  • Members shall not obtain any business  by means of fraudulent statemetns or by use of implications unwarranted by fact or reasonable probability.
  • Members shall comply both in spirit and letter with the rules and regulations prescribed by law and governmental agencies for the health, safety and progress of the community.
  • Members shall be alter to examine proposed or enacted State and Local legistlation detrimental to social, economic, and political progress.
  • Members shall not perform or cause to be performed any act which would tend to reflect poorly on or bring into disrepute any part of the buildin industry.

As a member, you assume these responsibilities, as a part of your commitment as a member of the San Juan Building Association.
